Take A Road Trip with Stuff To Scrap

It's the 1st and time to "Take A Road Trip" with Stuff To Scrap forum members on our monthly blog train.  This month's theme is Mystery Machine.  I decided to take the haunted spooky mansion route, which will be great for scrapping Halloween pics.  Hope you enjoy my little mini and please leave a comment below if you download, I love to hear positive feedback...it's what keeps us designers doing what we do.  ;-)

Follow our "Road Map" to hit all the stops along the way.

The Scrappy Kat Creative Team Manager/Designer Assistant Call

Hello Scrappers!!! Are you a detail oriented person that would love to receive all my new products for free? If so, why not apply to be my CT Manager/Designer Assistant?!? I need someone to help keep me organized and on schedule, which will leave me more time for designing.

Duties will include:

~ Check & post in ISO threads at STS & DST weekly.
~ Help me make blog posts on The Scrappy Kat blog/Facebook Page/Twitter regarding new releases, events, sales.
~ Manage CT by sending out reminders, collecting layouts for me prior to kit releases and making sure that layouts are being posted as required in galleries (basically just help me keep track and have more organization of the CT layouts for each kit).
~ Be my "Gallery Girl" and help me by leaving comments on layouts in The Scrappy Kat gallery.
~ Create sale ads for me if needed, etc.
~ Help me with the occasional special RAK in the STS forum.

Compensation:

All new products released by me with NO layout requirements and the occasional extra "bonus" commensurate with work.

Must be detail oriented; experienced in Blogger, Facebook, & Twitter; have 6 months+ of digital scrapbooking CT experience; and know your way around the STS & DST forums and galleries.

To apply, send an email to thescrappykat@gmail.com with a little bio about yourself, why you think you would be a good CT Manager for my team, a list of any other CT/design commitments, & a link to your digiscrap blog.

The call will remain open until filled. Can't hardly wait to hear from you!

Stuff to Scrap 2012 Retreat and All New Digital Scrapbooking Classes!!!

If you haven't noticed, there have been some changes in the STS forum & one of those changes is the addition of a Stuff to Scrap Course section, where you can participate in a variety of online courses to improve your scrapbooking skills. The first course that we have available is the 'All About Me' Journaling Class which is starting this Sunday, October 2nd so you need to hurry on over & sign up. The cost for the 8 week course is only $10.00 but you'll have access to the private forum for 10 weeks as we all know how life can get in the way at times!

In addition to the assignments, which will be posted twice a week, you'll also receive 2 templates, and a FREE kit of your choice from the Stuff to Scrap store. Also included in your class is a exclusive coupon code to use at Persnickity Prints to get 20% off your purchase if you decide to print your layouts through them. Click on the flier to go to the forum to sign up.

Our next available class is the 'Tell Your Travel' Journaling Class which is going to run a little differently from the previous class. This is a self paced 4 week course so there is no start date but you will only have access to the private forum for 6 weeks. There will be 2 assignments per week so the extra weeks will help you catch up if you need it. The cost of the course is only $6.00 & you'll have access to the private forum as soon as you sign up so make sure you're ready to go! Click on the flier to go to the forum to sign up.

Finally, you need to save the date for April 27 & 28, 2012 as that's when the Scrapalicious Digi-Retreat 2012 hosted by Stuff to Scrap will be taking place! The retreat will be held at the Comfort Suites in Schaumburg, Illinois located just 30 miles northwest of Chicago. I know that there are a lot of forum members already planning to go so come & join us, it's going to be a great time! Click on the flier to go to the retreat section of the forum to find out more information on the retreat.

If you're planning to join us in Schaumburg, tickets for the retreat are already on sale for $99.00 until December 31, 2011. After January 1, 2012 the ticket price will go up to $125.00 so this would be a great Christmas present to yourself! Nicole has arranged for a block of rooms at Comfort Suites in Schaumburg at $79/night (+tax) which is a great rate for Chicagoland. For more information on booking hotel room, please see the information posted in the store. If you plan on flying into Chicago, the closest airport to Schaumburg is O'Hare & there are always plenty of taxis & shuttles between the airport & hotels.

We hope to see a large turnout of forum members & designers, I know that most of us living within a reasonable driving distance are planning on attending. Check out the FAQs thread for general information & the Roomie Wanted thread if you're looking for someone to share a room with. The Chicagoland members have started a thread with stuff to do in & around Chicago; we'll keep it updated as the date comes closer. We hope you can come join us at the Scrapalicious Digi-Retreat 2012!

Step Right Up! to my September Build A Kit

Step right up digiscrappers! It is time for the September Build A Kit collection at Stuff To Scrap. This month's theme was the carnival and circus, with a bright and cheery color palette. My collection is called Midway. The collection contains an element pack, paper pack, torn paper pack, and 2 quick page sets. There are several other designers that participated this month also, so you can get enough to scrap all your summertime fun photos!
Do you have great carnival or circus theme photos, but little time to scrap them? Then one of my Midway Quick Page Sets is the perfect solution. Just plop your photos behind, add a title and any journaling, and you are done! Each quick page is 12x12 inch, 300 ppi and are created using my September BAK, Midway.
If you buy 3 or more of any of the BAK collection, you get 50% off them all. You can mix and match from any of the designer's collections.
And now some inspirational layouts from myself and my creative team members. ;-)

It's time for the monthly STS blog train! The theme this month is all about A Little Me Time. For me, that means my time in the morning, while the house is still quiet and I sit and drink my morning coffee in peace. ;-) Click on the preview below to download my portion and leave some love if you have time.
