Speed Scrap Layout

This is the page I did today during a speed scrap at Stuff to Scrap. Thought I would share it with you.

Here were the directions for this speed scrap, so you know how I came up with my layout. Seven instructions in 1 hour. May sound like a lot of time to some people for a layout, but us digi-scrappers know different. Right? Ha.

1 - Pick 2 pictures that show off your best feature (or the best feature of your subject) So if you have a great smile, beautiful teeth, lovely eyes, cute toes, etc. that is what I am looking for. My pictures show off beautiful brown eyes.
2 – Pick out 1 patterned paper with at least 4 colors in it and 4 plain papers that coordinate
3 – Use pattern paper as a big square background with one of the plain papers behind it at the full 12 x 12 size. You can tilt or leave your pattern paper straight, put to an edge or center, whatever.
4 – CUT THE OTHER 3 PLAIN PAPERS INTO STRIPS OF DIFFERENT SIZES AND/OR LENGTHS AND STACK THEM ON TOP OF EACH OTHER SOMEWHERE ON YOUR LAYOUT.
5– MAT OR FRAME YOUR PHOTOS WITH ONE OF THE PLAIN PAPERS AND ATTACH SOMEHOW (staple, button, paperclip, brad, eyelet, etc.)
6 – ADD A 1 WORD TITLE WITH AN ALPHA OR A FONT AND MAKE IT BIG
7 – DATE, JOURNAL, ADD SHADOWS AND FINISH UP YOUR LAYOUT WITH ANY ELEMENTS YOU DESIRE. POST TO THE GALLERY AND LINK BACK TO THE FORUM SO WE CAN ALL SEE
